Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom

1. I honestly have no idea what I'm reading. This story seems very disjointed right now and there are a lot of things to set up, I kind of only vaguely get that there has been a cure for death, the population has grown and the man we are reading in the perspective of grew up in Disney land. He has an old friend named Dan, hes a cowboy type character, and they regularly hangout. I currently am on page 11 and I don't feel anything for these characters or care that they have been introduced. This may be because we just watched the first part of Valerian which was also super disjointed and throws you into everything but the text feels busy but doesn't say much. I was falling asleep reading it to be honest. 2. I haven't read far enough I think to connect with the story. I don't think this is a very relatable story just yet since I don't feel anything for these characters. I suppose I get the sentiment of being an old soul in some ways or feeling like the world is

Theme park Race, gender, class and sexuality in class discussion

Race/Ethnicity In my world it is supported and celebrated and doesn't hold a hierarchy. Its not the main focus but my park is open to everyone. The art that is created at the park or at least is available isn't driven by race or ethnicity nor political or strong opinions based around a certain ideology. There will be an open LGBTQ celebration and celebration of prominent (and also less popular) holidays or events for race and ethnicity but it wont be a constant thing throw in your face every day. I suppose since this is based in America since that's the only country I know well enough, and this country is a huge melting pot, there may be some discrepancies on perspective about race and ethnicity but we dont want to understate a celebration of such things or undermine it. Maybe its not a celebration persay and more of just a general inclusion to the functions of the park, like a special offer or a park wide theme that is added into the park. Through hastags, or specific

Theme Park Prompt

Image
Artist Alley A concept biased around freelancing artist and illustrators but more of a theme park experience. Meant to inspire as well as house a variety of art based attractions, this theme park is a narrative on the fluidity of creativity and vision from an artists eye. This park is fairly interactive and you will get your clothes dirty here. It is suggested that you come in all white or old clothes to for a worry free experience. Each section of the park is based on a medium commonly used by artist: Paint - Go on rides that are a vivid color sensation, the Rainbow tornado is a giant whirly do type ride where you spin around with a beautiful array of colors rushing past you. There is a roller coaster called the Brush stroke that arcs with a huge rainbow at the top of the paint brush inspired ride. Each cart/ seat arrangement is a brush that you sit in. The painters pallet is a tea cup ride, each tea cup has been decorated by the staffed artist of the park. There is a

The Wolrd Building: Architecture

City/Organization topography Green space Transportation networks Defense Economic system Attitude towards nature Industrial level Gravity Building type There is a traveling hut/trailereqsue home that serves as the Scribe hub. Log writers and historians needed a studio of sorts that was mobile since much of the community travels to follow wild life. The people are not barbaric, simply using limited technology and choose to work with the limitation of travel. This Hub stays close to the ground and can be set up/ moved easily. The other housing and residential homes are in the upper canopy's. This Hub is guarded and carries a lot of knowledge, to go between the housing, they simply use the same pulley system that they use to get up and down from the treetops. The building is open to the public and has it's own private rooms and such for those who actually work there. Having the Hub be mobile also gives way for on the spot research to be done and active observation.

Profile of a Prisoner

An individual with skewed morals. They are there because they do not abide by the law or have caused a major public disturbance. Many think of a scruffy or sketchy man in his late 20's - later 30's, probably has tattoos or scars from fighting. Not always, but it's common enough even among the general population to have a tattoo. He has dark circles under his eyes, or at least a look of disdain. He's not without emotion, maybe too much emotion he can't control or hasn't thought about working on. Could be lanky or could be muscular, generally poor posture. triangular or long, could also be girthy in general. Guard Hard edged and clean shaven, particularly confident that they are the authority. Not "hospitable" to the inmates, should not treat them like dirt but may also do so as a power play or ego trip. Alert eyes and watchful gaze. Typically larger in stature or at least masculine. Proper posture and strong sturdy stance. Square heads.

Society and Deviance

This hypothetical social group consists of about 3000 people the whole population is made up of pairs, so 2 people act as one. This partnership does not have to be romantic or involved beyond the point of cooperation with one another to achieve their objectives.  Mind you that these pairs do not have to live together, this is more of a work partnership, but even so these pairings spend a majority of time with one another. Their society has a focus on physicality and mobility. The social group's age range goes from 14 - 70 years of age. Typically groups are paired with one another with up to a decade of age difference. The more physically capable and effective a pairing is denotes their importance and status among the chiefdom. Along with their age, this is what separates their society. The youths (14-17) are separated into various training groups to see where their proficiency lies, at this time, the partnered pairs are also not solidified and can be changed depending on what co

Planet

Ksolari Planet Creation: PINSKI PLANET DETAILS: Sun is Red Dwarf Atmosphere is reddish-purple because of sun color + neon Large land masses, several small islands Planet is closer to sun so sun looks bigger Planet is smaller than earth Orbit around sun is short so years are short too Plant life is dark (to absorb sunlight better) & most of it is underwater Does not house many major life forms, primarily bacteria and other microscopic creatures that can handle extreme conditions. All other creatures are aquatic and have adapted to survive in incredibly high temperatures underwater. They primarily live in the depths of the pink ocean, they can’t surface. The Ocean is a pink color due to a chemical reaction to the bacteria in the water. This gives the water it’s pink tones. Some land locked pools are a teal color because they are  a high enough temperature to kill all the cyanobacteria. They are super heated and often erupt in small geysers.
