After driving 10 hours from Sarasota to Atlanta, after another car decided to not stay in the hotel as agreed, after a rushed night of tense sleep and hurried action, we found security in a place to stay in the form of an Airbnb offered at a reasonable price by a host named Franklin.
One hiccup was that it was 9/6 and we accidentally booked the Airbnb for 9/8. So one night of unknown arrangements lead us to stay at a 24hr Korean spa. Not the most conventional places but it worked for its purpose. Arriving there around 5pm and getting settled in around 7pm. I get a text from Franklin saying the Airbnb isn't open. He had booked the house to rent for a year and the person staying there had been there for the past 6 months.
In my company were 3 other people, I had already gotten a flight for 9am the next day and I had to get to the airport by 7am. In order to do that I needed to be up by 5am. So at 8pm the night before, we found out another friend A had a hotel we could stay at but we had to check in. I go on my own with the other 3 at the Korean Spa since it was 14 min away. I drive, find out I need friend A to check in, have to go get him who is 40 min away, drive back another 40 min to the hotel, drive another 40 min back to drop him off where he was staying, then drive another hour to get the 3 at the Korean Spa. It's about 11pm, I have to wake up at 5am to get to the airport.

Hunkering down in my dorm here in Sarasota, I'd be barricading the doors and windows with furniture and making sure all of the personal possessions or appliances of the household were safe. I'd make my sleeping arrangements somewhere in the bathroom, which is the only room that has no windows and is central to the housing structure. I'd have stocked up as best as i could on food and made sure I could contact people if need be. I had a car which would also need protection or some form of safety to the elements. As the hurricane reached closer to the coast, I would keep an watchful eye on the news looking at its progress and stressing about the potential damage.

Fall is coming closer as the trees start to turn their amber hue and pumpkin harvests starts to flourish to their prime. The orchards are sure to make some delicious cider this fall and a bounty of baked goods. Some folks don't fancy the cold, and they aim to travel south before the winter. I wouldn't miss the fall season for anything.

Technology has advanced so far that natural disasters are something man made and can be controlled with meteorology instruments. They didn't exactly eliminate the occurrence of them, we simply developed a way to change their course and deter their projection out of harms way. Simulations of these occurrences can be experienced in museums on natural disasters since they are now things of the past. This technology does not control the day to day weather, it is only used to limit the impact of large scale natural disasters such as tornado's, hurricanes, tsunamis, and earthquakes. This advance in technology was developed due to the previous history and damages caused by such disasters. The frequency of these disasters increased due to the rise in temperatures of our planet and ultimately it caused too many damages.

Oh boy everyone's so excited for Hurricane day. The news reported that a slew of Hurricanes had formed off the coast of the Atlantic and were headed stateside in the coming week. People from all over have been flying in to experience it and escape their natural weather. As everyone knows, Hurricanes are a natural phenomenon which slows the speed of objects within its confines. So everything seems to be in a standstill or moving in slow motion but in real time. Obviously there are limitations to the amount of people being allowed within reach of the hurricane prior to it hitting, so flights are scarce. Many people come through to see the standstill rain, the rain fell in sheets and hovers in the air as it moves on a z and x axis, never fully falling until the Hurricane dissipates.

Nothing of note happens besides work as usual. School takes places and the progression of the major has essentially overlapped with virtual reality entertainment. A student group inspired by natural disasters is developing an experience and story based on the actions of others in such a situation. Kind of like an old fashioned escape room, this is an almost literal escape the storm room experience.
